AF du North Shore has provided me with the opportunity to maintain and improve my comprehension and speaking ability. Attending lectures and conversation groups not only helps me accomplish this, but also gives me the opportunity to meet other Francophiles—always interesting and enlightening.
What a pleasure to welcome more than 30 participants at our Café Conversation Matin. The group's diversity was exceptional: participants ranged in age from 23 to 91, and hailed from Poland, Belgium, Louisiana, Cameroon, England, Holland, Senegal, Austria and, of course, the U.S.
The Alliance Française du North Shore gives me the opportunity to maintain and improve my French language skills through a variety of activities that are fun, educational and social. I have been delighted to meet many friendly people who share my interest.
I love the French language and this group gives me the opportunity to speak French and talk about literature in the groupes de lecture. We all have that in common and it feels good to be part of a group like that.
I belong to the AF du North Shore because I can socialize with French-speaking people, participate more fully in the organization and practice my high school French.
I particularly like this Alliance, because so much French is spoken at its events. It is also small enough to be personal. You can actually get to know people.
AF du North Shore is important to me because it's a great way to meet others with similar interests as well as to maintain fluency and comprehension. I very much enjoy the activities, too (movies, Panera, lectures, etc.).
I enjoy myself immensely whenever we're discussing anything and also listening to all of you speak, especially our leaders.
The Alliance Française du North Shore provides a wide variety of interesting and stimulating programs to meet other francophones, learn more about French culture and to speak the language, no matter what level. Members range from native speakers, teachers and academics to those still studying and improving their skills. I appreciate the chance to talk with others in French about many topics and have made new friends in the process, along with having great fun.
Being a member of the Alliance Française du North Shore has been a wonderful experience. I have participated in an Entre Nous conversation group and the Brush Up Your French: Advanced Intermediate class, and my confidence and ability to have conversations in French have grown immeasurably. And what's more: everyone I've met has been warm and welcoming. Thank you, Alliance Francaise!
